摘要： Described herein are systems and methods for processing transactional data. One embodiment provides a method including receiving data indicative of one or more past or current business transactions prior to finalisation of one or more current or future transactions. The data is then processed thereby to derive individual or accumulative transactional assessment information indicative of the profitability of the business transaction(s). The method further includes comparing the transaction(s) assessment information with a predefined benchmark. Based on the comparison of the transactional assessment information with the predefined benchmark, an alert is selectively raised. This allows modification of the current business transaction(s) either prior or subsequent to the finalisation of the transaction(s), such that an opportunity is provided to better align with the predefined benchmark. For example, in one embodiment, when a request for a quote or price is made, the transactional data is processed to estimate the profitability of the transaction and is compared with a predetermined target profit for the transaction. Depending on how the transaction compares with the target data, immediate action may be taken to improve the transaction, or an alert may be forwarded to management to make a transaction decision by reference to a year-to-date comparison of actual with target. Such action may include increasing or decreasing the price of the transaction.

摘要： A theft-deterring merchandise dispensing apparatus has a chassis [2] configured to provide limited access to an interior space housing merchandise in a secure manner. A knob [30] is secured to a front panel [4] of the chassis [2]. The knob [30] is secured to one end of an elongate wire coil [40], the knob [30] and coil [40] rotational about a common axis. An elongate cantilevered rod [12] is mounted on a rear panel [6] of the chassis [2] and extensive therefrom within the coil [40], the rod [12] terminating at a free end in proximity to the front panel [4]. Units of merchandise [60] are slidingly secured on the rod [12] and positioned between windings [46] of the coil [40] so that rotation of the coil [40] by the knob [30] moves the packages along the rod [12] to exit proximate the front panel [4]. A noise-maker creates a noise when the knob [30] is rotated to alert store personnel that products are being dispensed.
